To perform the actions described from this point forward in this guide, you 

must ensure

To check whether 

 is installed, execute the following command:

# rpm -qa | grep mt-st 

This command returns the name of the package followed by a version 

number (for example, RHEL3 returns

 mt-st-0.7-11

).  

If no information is returned, 

 is not installed on your system. To install

 is usually included on your Linux installation CD-ROM. 

To install 

, execute the following command: 

# rpm -ivh mt-st*

where the asterisk represents the remaining portion of the file name (in this 

case, it is the version number).
