allows data being transferred directly from hard
disk drive to tape cartridges without involving application servers except
to initiate transfers and to receive reports of data transfer results (also
known as Serverless Backup).
PortFailover
is a failsafe measure designed to provide continuous library
operation in the event of a Fibre Channel port failure without the loss of
any of the library’s SCSI devices or the need for operator/field service
technician intervention.

If enabled, Fibre port 2 out of 0, 1, and 2 is used as a reserved port. In case
of port failure between 0 and 1, port 2 is switched on and replaces the
failed port.
PortFailover Test

PortFailover
Test
allows you to test the PortFailover feature by simulating
a Fibre port failure condition on either port 0 or port 1. The tests include
simulating a Port Down, Loop Down, or ISP Error condition.
After simulating the condition, use the Bridge Status page to check the
After simulating the condition, use the Bridge Status page to check the
Fibre port status. These tests only work if PortFailover is enabled. You
may recover the failed port by issuing the Recover test to the selected
Fibre port.

This option allows you to reboot individual bridges in your Fibre
Channel configuration. Select the appropriate bridge and click

Note:
To receive an ALERT E-mail notification when a PortFailover
