IBM TotalStorage SAN Switch H16
The IBM® TotalStorage® SAN Switch
H16, with next-generation switch tech-
nology, provides improved availability
capabilities, fully non-blocking perform-
ance and advanced intelligence fea-
tures. The IBM H16 SAN Switch is
well-suited to address small and
medium business (SMB) customer
requirements for infrastructure simplifi-
cation and improved business
continuity.
The H16 SAN Switch is designed to be
fully interoperable with other members
of the IBM TotalStorage SAN Switch
family. You can configure a wide range
of scalable solutions that help address
SMB demands for affordable, simple to
operate and integrated heterogeneous
open server SANs.
Configuration options
The entry-fabric switch includes sixteen
universal ports with eight shortwave
(500 M at 1 Gbps, 300 M at 2 Gbps)
SFP transceivers. A mixture of eight
shortwave, longwave (10 Km) and
extended longwave (35 or 80 Km) SFP
transceiver features may be added.
