The following table lists parameters for all interface types. Explanations of some 
parameters follow the table.

1 Make sure  the port  is not  configured for backup  use only. (See   Chapter  6.)
2 Make sure  the DLCI is not part of a frame relay  DLCI backup group or part of a frame 

relay PVC  (both described  in Chapter 6).

4 Configured in LLC2 Host file (described earlier in this  chapter).
5 Must be unique among  all LAN  IDs throughout the  network on  which this node will 

operate.

identifies whether the interface is on a LAN or a frame relay network.

will cause the port to be enabled (

) or disabled (

remain in that state until this parameter is changed or (frame relay interface only) an 
on-line enable (

 from the Main Menu) or disable (

Menu) is performed. 

will become the first octet of the 

 field in Spanning Tree Protocol messages. The 

lower the number, the higher the priority that the interface will be given among other 
interfaces in the spanning tree.
