Purchasing the Home Media Option Package

TiVo Desktop for Windows supports the following operating systems:

• Windows  98

• Windows 2000

• Windows  ME

• Windows  XP

To use TiVo Desktop for Macintosh, you need:

• A  Mac

®

 with Mac OS X v10.2 or later

• iTunes

®

 3 or later for music

• iPhoto

™

 2 or later for photos

If you already have a TiVo Series2 DVR with TiVo service and you want to 
purchase Home Media Option, simply visit Manage My Account at 

. When you sign in to your account at Manage My 

Account, you’ll see a link on the left side to “Buy Home Media Option.” 
Click the link and follow the instructions to complete the purchase. 

You can also use Manage My Account to purchase Home Media Option 
while you are activating TiVo service for a Series2 DVR. Simply sign in to 
Manage My Account, click the “Activate a new DVR” link, and choose 
Home Media Option in addition to your desired TiVo service option.

These are the steps you need to complete to start using Home Media 
Option. You might want to read through this list before getting started.

• Purchase Home Media Option — Go to Manage My Account at 

 and place your order.

• Name Your DVRs — Naming your DVRs will help you identify them 

when using Home Media Option features like Remote Scheduling and 
Multi-Room Viewing. While you’re logged in to Manage My Account, 
choose “DVR Preferences” from the left hand menu.

• Get a Network Adapter — Each Series2 DVR with Home Media Option

purchase network adapters at the TiVo Store (

at a local electronics store.
