addition, these models boast outstanding screen performance and advanced display
technologies to optimize your desktop computing experience.
It’s easy to be green. The MultiSync E Series is loaded with features that promote
environmental consciousness, including: LED backlighting, ECO Mode™; Intelligent
Power Manager (IPM) and an off timer for further energy savings; a carbon footprint
meter for tracking the conservation of green gas emissions; construction using
ecological materials such as recycled plastics; and a significant reduction in packaging
materials. The E231W’s LED-backlit panel sets the bar for “green” technology by
providing the same brightness as other panel types while consuming up to 35% less
power. Compared to previous generation NEC LCDs, this model consumes less power
overall, radiates less heat, uses less packaging, weighs less, utilizes recycled plastics in
its production and is free of hazardous materials such as mercury, halogen and arsenic.
