When the phone is powered off and charging, a charging status screen 
will appear on the Sub LCD screen on the outside of the phone. The 
battery is not charged when the phone is first purchased – fully charge 
the battery before first use. The battery will charge faster if the phone is 
powered off while charging. Battery operating time gradually decreases 
over time. If the battery fails to perform normally, you may need to 
replace it. 

Be sure to use only the batteries that have been provided with the 
phone. Installation is easier if you have placed the phone on a flat 
surface.

 ❶  Place the battery on the back of the handset 

and slide into place.

 

❷ Push the battery down until it locks into place.
