Cleaning the Air Filter

The air filter should be cleaned after 
approximately 500 hours use. Remove the 
air filter covers in two places then remove 
the dust with a vacuum cleaner.
The time needed to clean the air filter will 
vary depending on the environment or 
how the projector is used.

Turn the power off and unplug the ower 
cord.

Place a protective sheet (cloth) beneath the 
projector and turn the projector over.

Remove the air filter cover.

Clean the surface of the air filter cover with 
a vacuum cleaner.

Replace the air filter cover.

• If the dust cannot be removed from the air filter 

cover, replace the air filter cover with a new one. 
For details on new air filter cover, consult with 
qualified Sony personnel.

• Be sure to attach the air filter cover firmly;it 

may cause a problem if the air filter cover is not 
installed properly.

• To erase a message, press any key on the control 

panel of the projector or on the remote 
commander.
