When this option is enabled, Acronis True Image Home will monitor free space on your backup

Archive splitting
Sizeable backups can be split into several files that together form the original backup. A backup file
can be split for burning to removable media or saving on an FTP server (data recovery directly from
an FTP server requires the archive to be split into files of no more than 2GB). A backup destined for
the Acronis Secure Zone cannot be split.

backup copy of the system to keep it in a different location from the first one for added security.
