In MP3 playback mode:
·
Solid Red – Indicates that the device is in Pause or Stop mode.
·
Blinking Red – Indicates MP3 playback.
In REC (MIC recording) mode:
·
Solid Yellow – Indicates that the device is in Pause or Stop mode.
·
Blinking Red/Yellow – Indicates that the device is recording.
·
Blink Yellow – Indicates recording (WAV) playback.
Device Switches
MP3/REC Disk Switch
Switches the device between MP3 playback mode and WAV recording/playback mode.
USB/Battery Switch
“USB” switches the device off when not connected to a computer.  “Battery” switches the device to MP3 playback
mode or WAV recording/playback mode.
Important – Be sure that the USB/Battery switch is set to USB before connecting the device to your USB port.
Once connected, do not change the switch position.
MP3 Playback Operation
Play/Pause
Press and release to play/pause playback.
Track +/- Buttons
Press and release quickly to go to the next or previous track.
Volume +/- Buttons
Press and hold to adjust the volume up or down.
MP3 File Playback

To use the MP3 playback functionality, you must copy MP3 files to the device.
·
The device will playback files in the order in which they were copied to the device, with the first song copied
being the first song played.
·
The device will only playback files in the root (lowest) directory, not files placed in folders.  Any non-MP3 files
will be skipped automatically during MP3 playback mode.
USB Flash Drive Instructions
Using your Device as a USB Flash Drive
To load copy, delete or edit files on the the DiskGO!
TM
 MP3 Player + USB Flash Drive, make sure that
the USB Disk switch is set to the USB setting.   Do not connect the device while it is on (in “battery”
mode).
Connect the device to an available USB port on your computer.  You may plug it directly into the port,
or use the USB extension cable.  If your USB ports are on the back of your computer, the extension
cable is a convenient way to extend port availability to the front of the computer or to your desktop.
You may leave the extension cable connected to your port even if the device is not connected.
After a few seconds, your computer will recognize your DiskGO!
 TM
 MP3 Player + USB Flash Drive as if
it were an additional hard drive or floppy drive.  You can copy, create and delete files on your device.
Windows users can access the USB Flash Drive by browsing through “My Computer”.  It will appear
as a Removable Disk with a drive letter assigned, such as “Removable Disk (E:)”.  It may take 5-10
seconds for your device to appear as a drive in ‘My Computer”.
Note -  If you are using the DiskGO!
TM
 MP3 Player + USB Flash Drive in a Novell Network
environment, consult with your systems administrator to see if you have any mapped network
drives.  Mapped network drives can override the built-in drive lettering feature of Windows machines
and can prevent your device from being properly recognized by your system.
Macintosh users can access the DiskGO!
TM
 MP3 Player + USB Flash Drive by double-clicking the icon
that appears on the desktop (usually called “No_Name”).
Software Installation (Windows 98 & 98SE Only)
Drivers are only required if using Windows 98 & 98SE.  Please install driver prior to connecting the DiskGO!

 MP3
Player + USB Flash Drive for the first time.
1) Download the self-extracting driver file from EDGE Memory’s website:

2) Once the file has finished downloading, double-click it and to install the drivers.
3) After installation is complete, restart your computer.  Plug your DiskGO! into your USB drive.
Format using the built-in format capability
1) Switch the device to Battery.
