Comparing vessel and browse modes
The 957 offers two display modes:

vessel
•
browse
Pressing the CURSOR PAD at any time instantly changes the
display from vessel mode to browse mode. When you’re in
browse mode, pressing the VESSEL menu key at any time
instantly displays your vessel in the center of the CHART
screen, returning the 957 to vessel mode.

Vessel mode
Vessel mode is indicated by the word VESSEL in the upper
right corner of the screen. In this mode, you can perform the
