Using Traffic Information

Your nüvi can receive FM TMC (Traffic 

Message Channel) traffic or MSN

®

 

Direct traffic content, depending upon 

the traffic receiver connected to your 

nüvi. 
Your nüvi displays both types of traffic 

content in the same manner. 

  nOTe: Garmin is not responsible for 

the accuracy of the traffic information.

The FM TMC traffic receiver, which 

is integrated in the power cable, is 

included in some nüvi 755, 765, and 

775 packages. FM TMC traffic receivers 

receive traffic information that is 

broadcast over the FM Radio Data 

System. 

The FM TMC subscription activates 

automatically after your Garmin GPS 

device acquires satellite signals while 

receiving traffic signals from the service 

provider. You can add other FM TMC 

subscriptions at any time. Check the

The MSN

®

 Direct receiver, which is 

integrated in the power cable, is included 

in the nüvi 785 packages. MSN Direct 

receivers receive MSN Direct content, 

including traffic information.
