The bar displays disappear after three sec-
onds if the buttons are not pressed.
Information rows
While directions are being given, a maxi-
mum of three information rows may be
displayed (or hidden) with the following
details:
• Current street or next street
• Estimated arrival time, journey time to
destination, remaining distance to des-
tination (this row is displayed with a
flag).
• Estimated arrival time at interim desti-
nation (stopover), journey time and re-
maining distance to interim destination
(this row is displayed with a flag and an
additional marking peg). 
> Select your information rows in the Set-
tings menu using the Route info but-
ton, page 49.
Zooming and the map (toolbar)
You can gradually zoom in and out of the
map display using the zoom keys in the
top two corners of the touchscreen.
 
> Press Zoom in 
: to expand or
"zoom in on the map" and view individ-
ual features more closely.
> Press Zoom out 
: to "zoom out
from the map" and get a broader over-
view of the area.
Display route (toolbar)
With this map, the map is automatically
zoomed out so that the entire route is dis-
played. The Display route function is only
activated when a route has been selected
for driving guidance.
> Press the Route key.
The map is expanded and the specific
route destinations are displayed.
Position and display mode (toolbar)
You can select a number of different func-
tions with the position key while driving
guidance is active.
• When the position key is activated, the
map is automatically displayed in such a
way that the position icon is roughly lo-
cated in the centre of the map. The map
itself moves constantly.
This function is automatically selected
when driving guidance is started.
 WARNING
The volume of the navigation unit
should be set so that noises outside the
vehicle can be heard.
