2. Remove protective metal cover and unplug the
removable input connector (see
Figure 5).
3. Route the speaker wires through the strain relief
fitting on the protective cover but don’t engage the
strain relief fitting.
4.
The removable input
connector’s terminals are
marked on the connector
and on the label located
on the protective cover.
(see
Figure 6).
When connecting multiple
speakers you can connect
them either in
Parallel or
in the
Loop-Thru method
as shown below. Select
the method that best suits your installation
requirements:
Parallel Connection
In this configuration all speakers are connected via
pins 2 & 3, allowing all subsequent speakers to remain
connected to the amplifier if you to remove a loud-
speaker from the line by detaching its connector from
the loudspeaker (see
Figure 7).
Loop-Through Connection
In this configuration subsequent speakers are connected
to pins 1 & 4 of the previous speaker. Unplugging a
speaker’s connector from the speaker will disconnect
all subsequent speakers from the amplifier (see
Figure 8).
5. Strip approximately
3
/
16
” of insulation from the
speaker wires and insert the bare wires into the
correct openings on the top of the removable input
connector (see
Figure 6).
6. Using a small flat-
head screwdriver,
secure the wires
to the removable
input connector
by tightening the
hold-down screws
(see
Figure 9).
7. Plug the removable
input connector
back into the connector socket and lock it. Insert the
connector until it locks-into place (the connector
can only be inserted in one direction).
8. Reinstall the protective metal cover on the loud-
speaker and tighten it firmly to avoid vibration.
9. Secure the wire or conduit in the strain relief fitting
on the protective cover (see
Figure 10):
a) Loosen the
v e r t i c a l
screws that
secure the
fitting to
the cover
and loosen
the horizon-
tal screws
holding the
f i t t i n g ’ s

pieces.
b) Secure the fitting’s sliding pieces to the wire by
tightening the horizontal screws.
Note: If the installation uses wire conduit, secure the
conduit to the fitting.

c) Secure the fitting to the protective cover by
tightening the vertical screws.
Note: Take care not to cut the wire insulation or otherwise
damage the wiring when tightening the screws.
