Your telephone has both a dgtal answerng system and vocemal ndcaton.  

Vocemal s offered by your telephone servce provder (fees may apply). Your 

telephone’s answerng system and vocemal ndcaton are ndependent features, 

and each alerts you to new messages dfferently. For more nformaton on the 

vocemal ndcators, see page 9. To lsten to your vocemal, you typcally dal 

an access number provded by your telephone company, followed by a securty 

code or PIN. To lsten to messages recorded on your dgtal answerng system, 

press 

/PLAY/STOP button on the telephone base.

If you subscrbe to caller ID/call watng servce through your telephone servce 

provder, you can use your telephone answerng system and vocemal together. 

Set your answerng system to answer calls at least two rngs earler than your 

vocemal s set to answer. For example, set your vocemal to answer calls after 

sx rngs and set your answerng system to answer after four rngs. Some vocemal 

provders may program the delay before answerng calls n seconds nstead of 

rngs; n ths case allow sx seconds per rng when determnng the approprate 

settng. By dong ths, f you are on a call, or f the answerng system s busy 

recordng a message and you receve another call, the second caller can leave 

a vocemal message.

The answerng system can record and store up to 99 messages. A message can 

be up to four mnutes n length. The total storage capacty for the announcement, 

messages  and  memos  s  approxmately  14  mnutes.  Messages  wll  reman 

avalable for replay untl they are deleted.
