Setting of the rating level (Parental Lock)
You can restrict access for children etc. to movies you don’t want them to see.
The Parental Lock feature must be supported by the DVD you are watching for this feature to work.
Not all DVDs support Parental Lock.

1) Select “PARENTAL PASSWORD” on step 4 of the “DVD setup standard
operation” on page 67, and enter a 4 digit password by pressing to 9.
Numbers entered are displayed by *.
The setting when the product is shipped is 0000.
2) Press

 on the PARENTAL LEVEL item, select OFF or 1 to 8 (restric-
tion level value) and press ENTER to finalize the setting.
• Select “OFF” to cancel the parental lock or if you do not want to set a rating level. The
smaller the number, the higher the rating level.
• Press RETURN in the setting mode to return the previous display.
3) When setting is complete, press and hold MENU/SETUP for more than 3
seconds. The mode returns to normal mode.
