Adjusting shadow & highlight with White & Black Eyedropper tools
• To adjust the highlight (white point) in an image, point the White Eyedropper
tool to the selected white point in the image. Then click to apply the selected
lightness.
• To adjust the shadow (black point) in an image, point the Black Eyedropper
tool to the selected black point in the image. Then click to apply the selected
shadow value.
NOTE: Values of the black and white points should not overlap; i.e., black value should
not exceeds White value; White value should not be less than that of Black. Otherwise, an
error message will display.
Color information preview in pixel
While making adjustments with the Tag Windows or Eyedropper tools, you can
view and refer to the Color Display in the Information window where the pixel
input/output values of the selected spot (where your pointer is pointed on the
image) is shown. Aside from pixel values, the Information window also provides
a live graphic preview of a pixel-by-pixel breakdown of the selected area. This
will allow you to pinpoint the exact color pixel you want to adjust. You can
adjust the size of the sample box of the preview to focus on a certain number of
pixels.
