This is an emergency system recovery process and should be used to recover the system’s
default configuration.

Important: Ensure there are no other embedded Rimage AutoLoaders named
RimageProducer3 actively running on the network.

1. With the unit powered on:
a. Insert
the
Recovery Disc in the recorder tray marked Drive 1 (top drive).
b. Press and hold the PC power button on the front of the unit until the unit powers off.
c. Press
the
PC power button again to power on the unit.
2. The application starts automatically and recovery begins.
3. When the operator panel displays REMOVE DISC THEN REBOOT SYSTEM (approximately
10 minutes):
a. Remove the recovery disc from the recorder tray.
b. Press and hold the PC power button until the unit powers off.
c. Press
the
PC power button again to power on the unit. The system initializes.
4. Watch the operator panel for the prompt: REMOTE LOGON TO: RIMAGEPRODUCER3
(approximately 5 minutes).
Note: You cannot log on until the system fully initializes. This may take several more
minutes.
5. Log on to the system:
•
If the unit is attached to a network, log on to the system using Remote Desktop
Connection on a separate computer.
