Blue Raven 7040 Supplementary Manual

Download the latest MediaMate firmware from www.blueravengear.com to your desktop. You can find it in  

 

the “Download’s” window on the“MP4 Players” page in the Product Support webpage.

Make sure that you use the 7040 firmware for the MediaMate 7040 and the 7080 firmware for the MediaMate   

 

7080. They are two distinct firmwares made specifically for different models of the MediaMate. Using the wrong

Using the included USB cable, connect the MediaMate to your computer.

4. 

After the computer has recognized the MediaMate as a portable hard drive, copy and paste the firmware  

 

into the “System” folder on the MediaMate.

5. 

Disconnect the USB cable.

6. 

In the MediaMate main menu, choose and select the “Browser” interface.

7. 

Inside the “Browser” interface, go to the “System” folder. The firmware file should be the only file listed, or the  

 

last file in the list.

8. 

Select the file and click the “enter” button to start updating the firmware. The update will take approximately 2  

 

minutes.

9. 

When the update is finished, press any key to turn off the MediaMate. Congratulations, the update has been  

 

completed.
