Operation with Tape (Continued)
Wide Screen Compatibility 16:9
This unit can record and play back wide screen
aspect ratio programs (16:9). To record a wide screen
format program successfully the correct type of wide
screen signal must be broadcast by the TV station.
Note
To enjoy Wide-Screen playback you must connect the unit to
the TV using a 21-pin scart cord.

Press VIDEO to switch output to the VCR.

Press i/SETUP and the main menu will appear.

Press j/l to select the 16:9/4:3, then press OK/
ENTER.

AUTO: Automatically plays back Wide-Screen
programs as Wide-Screen and Normal programs
as normal.
4:3: Only for playing back and recording Normal
format recordings (4:3).
16:9: Only for playing back and recording Wide-
Screen format recordings (16:9).

To Set the Color System
Normally the AUTO setting is sufficient. If the
playback picture color is abnormal, select the color
system of the cassette you are using.
