Cables
Connecting the reader to the workstation requires two cables: a keyboard cable and a
terminal cable. The interface kit contains both the keyboard and terminal cables. If you
need to order a replacement cable, use the part numbers listed below:

Power Supply
The reader does not require an external power supply to work with the workstation. Set
the PCB jumper to connect pins 1 and 2 on the reader’s rear panel.

Configuring the Reader
Scan the appropriate label to configure the reader for your workstation. After the label is
scanned, the reader emits one low beep followed by four low beeps. The four low beeps
indicate the reader has successfully stored the configuration and is ready to read labels.
If the reader emits a different beep sequence, refer to the Wedge Reader User’s Manual,
Section 2, for beeper identification.
