Accessing StorageSync through the System Tray 
Each time StorageSync starts, it places a miniature icon in the System tray. Clicking this icon 
displays the StorageSync System tray menu (see Figure 8).  
Some of the options in the System tray menu perform immediate actions, while others enable 
or disable StorageSync features. For example, clicking Backup displays the Backup window, 
where you perform backup operations. Load StorageSync in Startups and Auto-Open 
Backup Window
, on the other hand, are options that can be enabled or disabled through 
clicking; these options have checkmarks that show whether the option is enabled (checked) or 
disabled (not checked).

Table 1 describes the options in the StorageSync System tray menu.

Parameter

Backup 
Displays the Backup window, where you can back up files onto a 
media drive (see “Using StorageSync to Back Up Data” on page 34). 
Launch StorageSync 
Displays the Welcome window (see “Understanding the Welcome 
Window” on page 24). 
StorageSync Settings 
Displays the Settings window, where you can view and change 
StorageSync settings (see “StorageSync Settings” on page 71). 
File Synchronization 
Displays the File Synchronization window, where you can synchronize 
files on a media drive and your computer’s hard drive (see “Data 
Synchronization ” on page 58). 
Load StorageSync in 
Startups 
When checked, starts StorageSync automatically when your computer 
boots. To disable this feature, uncheck this option.
