VCR Operation
Insert a tape in Power off mode.
Power turns on, ĺ Play.
Note:
• Playback begins if tape has no record tab.
Tape reaches its end
Rewind, ĺ Stop.
Tape with no record tab reaches its end
Rewind, ĺ Stop, ĺ Eject.
(except for Recording)
(Repeat Play must be “OFF”)

Playback Auto Eject
Continuously analyzes the signal and adjusts for optimum picture
quality.
Use during Playback and Slow Motion mode to reduce picture
noise. Press the 3 or 6 number key on the remote control or
CH Ÿź on the unit until the picture clears up. To return to Auto
Tracking, press POWER off, then on again a few seconds later.
In Still mode, the 3 or 6 number key on the remote control or
CH Ÿź on the unit operate as a V-Lock control to reduce jitter.

Press CM/ZERO repeatedly to select skip time in
Playback mode.
By pressing CM/ZERO in Playback mode you can skip over 1, 2,
or 3 minutes of recorded tape as desired.
Note:
• No indication appears.
Commercial Skip

2 min skip
3rd Press
3 min skip
All operations are prohibited except Timer recording and tape eject.
Useful for families with small children.
Repeat above with or without cassette to turn “OFF.”
Note:
• VCR Lock is canceled automatically after about 24 hours if clock is set.
In Stop mode, hold down REC on the unit without a cassette
inserted for 7 seconds to turn “ON.”
