V-CHIP Operation
Motion Picture Ratings
This TV model features the “V-Chip technology” which allows you to use Motion Picture Ratings
when viewing movies or video tapes. This innovation allows parents to block various types of
movies and video tapes at their discretion. PIP will be blocked automatically.

Procedure
1.
In the Main Menu press the CH
pq
or VOL

buttons to highlight LOCK icon.
2.
Press ACTION button to display LOCK menu.
3.
Use the numeric keypad to enter your four digit code. (
Use a code that is easy to
remember and record it in a safe place.)
Note:
When in CHANGE CODE, if you enter a different code from the one used on the LOCK menu, the
new code becomes the controlling code.

button to highlight MOTION PICT. STATUS.

buttons to select OFF or ON.

movies do not get rated for a variety of reasons. Old movies and foreign movies
usually have no ratings.)
