By default, the maximum number of password attempts is 3. After the password authentication failure, 
the system adopts the lock-time mode, that is, prevent this user to log in to the device within a period 
which defaults to 120 minutes.  
Example 
# Set the number of login attempts allowed for each user to 3 and prevent the user to re-log in to the 
device within 360 minutes after the password attempt failure.

2 to 15. 
Description 
Use the password-control history command to configure the maximum number of history password 
records allowed for each user. 
Use the undo password-control history command to restore the default setting. 
By default, the maximum number of history password records allowed for each user is 4. 
Example 
# Set the maximum number of history password records allowed for each user to 10.
