No dial tone

Check cords to be sure they are connected correctly

Ensure
TONE/PULSE Select switch is in the correct position.

Check
that the TELEPHONE LINE CORD is plugged into the house telephone
jack and the TELEPHONE LINE CONNECTION JACK.

Check to be sure that the
COILED
HANDSET CORD
is connected at both
ends.
Incoming and outgoing voices are too low
•
Chec
k to see if extension phones are OFF-HOOK. It is normal for volume to
drop when two phones are used at the same time.

elephone does not ring

Is the RINGER VOLUME CONTROL
switch set to OFF?
•
Are you using too many phones on the same line?
The total REN of all the
phones should not be more than the maximum REN value, usually 5.0. (See

Feedback flutter can be heard while dialing in
PULSE mode.

This is normal as power fluctuates with pulse dialing.
