Advantages of adding memory
The printer has 10 Mbytes of standard memory.  You can upgrade the printer
memory to 22 Mbytes by purchasing memory in 4-Mbyte SIMMs.
In general, more memory means improved imaging performance,
improved network performance, high-resolution printing, and PCL5
emulation.  Expanding printer memory also provides more storage for
downloadable fonts.
14 Mbytes total:  Provides additional input buffer memory.
Allows you to print Tabloid-size bleed images on Tabloid Extra
(12 x 18 in.) paper.  The additional memory is required if you want
maximum print area on Tabloid Extra paper.  It is also required for
Finepoint Sharpening.
18 Mbytes total:  Provides additional input buffer memory and
faster image processing.
22 Mbytes total:  Provides additional input buffer memory and
faster image processing; allows you to use PCL5 emulation; and
enables full-Tabloid bleed images on Tabloid Extra (12 x 18 in.)
media.  PhaserMatch color profiler requires 22 Mbytes.
