If the Receive File indicator is lit, a message has been received but could not be
printed for some reason. The message was stored in memory (Substitute Recep-
tion). When you solve the problem, the message will be automatically printed
out. The table below lists some problems that could have caused Substitute Re-
ception to take place and their solutions.

If this indicator is lit, a message has been received into memory with Confiden-
tial Reception. You need to print it out manually.

The Confidential Reception indicator blinks when a message has been received
with the Memory Lock feature.

Paper has run out.

B and/or Facsimile Er-
ror

 indicator is lit red.

Add paper.

Toner is empty.

D is lit

Replace the toner cartridge.

Remove the jammed paper.

The message “Doors/
Covers open” appears.

Close the cover.

The Output Tray is full.

The Output Tray is full. 
Remove paper.
