Introducing the 

all-new Avant 900i

Refining existing and proven speaker

technologies, as well as introducing

new materials and innovations, the

Avant 900i range comprises a wide

range of loudspeakers designed for

stereo two-channel and multi-channel

home cinema applications. 

Designed at the company’s UK

research and development facility,

these advanced loudspeakers house a

raft of third generation technologies.

Revised drivers have been re-voiced to

deliver improved high frequency

response, as well as greater clarity and

detail from the midrange and bass.

For the most acoustically deadened

enclosure possible, the cabinets have

been remodelled with heavily revised

internal bracing to strengthen the

already sturdy cabinet assembly. 

A new terminal panel offering easier

connection of speaker cables and new

bullet terminals – directly descended

from our flagship Performance speakers

– also feature across this new series. 

Unlike some manufacturers,

Mordaunt-Short doesn’t stop designing

its products just because they’re

sonically perfect. We also care

passionately how our speakers will

look in your home. Subtly contoured,

all Avant 900i models feature satin

aluminium silver baffles, elegant feet

combining spikes and come in

stunning contemporary finishes to

complement any home. Continuing this

tradition, a stunning Calvados option

joins the current elegant Honey Maple

and black finishes.

research and development team has a

wealth of experience. This is backed up

by the company’s thirty five years at the

forefront of loudspeaker manufacture. A

dedicated acoustic and mechanical

engineering team use a combination of

measurement and analysis techniques

to make Mordaunt-Short dreams reality.

significant investment. Every product is

developed in a dedicated research and

development facility and fully tested in

a state-of-the-art listening room. 

Before sign-off, each and every

loudspeaker is personally voiced by the

head of Acoustic Engineering to ensure

it’s fit to bear the Mordaunt-Short name.

breaking use of injection moulding in

the 1980s, the development of CPC

(Continuous Profile Cone) drivers and

the new Aspirated Tweeter
