8. While the firmware update software downloads, turn on the GolfBuddy and have it on the 
Searching Sat… menu. This will simply come up when you power on your unit.  
Connect the USB cable to the GolfBuddy then to an empty USB port on the computer. 
Once you have completed downloading the upgrade, run the software. 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

9. The GolfBuddy Firmware Upgrade menu should come up. Make sure both the Bootloader 
Upgrade and the Firmware Upgrade boxes are both checked.  
 
Once checked, click on the big Start Upgrade, and then click Ok. Wait until the Complete 
to Upgrade!! box pops up. 

 
 

 

Click Ok and this will complete the upgrading process.
