Using the Program Guides
52
Chapter 5
1.   In the Provider setup screen, press the Options soft key. A list of options
appears.
2.   Highlight New and press SEL. The Smart Remote will check the
network for available providers in your area. This may take a few
minutes.
3.   Once the remote has retrieved the information on available program
providers in your area, the Add Provider screen appears with the names
of the available providers.
4.  Highlight the name of the provider you want to add and press SEL. The
remote will add listings for that program provider to your guide. This
may take a few minutes.
NOTE: The Smart Remote adjusts how many days it holds in its listings according
to the number of channels in all of the guides. Guides for satellite and digital cable
programming are usually the largest. In order to tune directly to programs from a
guide, you must set up DirecTune for that guide. See “Selecting a DirecTune Device
for a Provider” on page 45 for instructions.

The About option on the Guide screen gives you technical information
about your Smart Remote Program Guide, such as its version number,
the number of providers, channel lineups, and shows in memory, and the
amount of memory being used for the guide. The About option also gives
you information about the last guide update.
