Certance’s CD 40 tape backup solution 
includes everything needed to protect the 
data of small businesses quickly and 
effectively. Based on the industry-standard 
DDS/DAT format, the Certance CD 40 
solution features up to 40 gigabytes (GB) 
of compressed capacity, with backup 
speeds of up to 19.8 GB/hr. 

The Certance CD 40 is designed for 
reliability, with a unique, environmentally 
sealed chamber for the head-to-tape 
interface (HTI), which increases reliability 
by reducing airborne contaminants. The 
Sapphire Media Cleaning Blade reduces 

the damage to the media caused by 
contaminants.

An LVD (low voltage differential) 
Interface supports 15 devices up to a total 
cable length of 20 meters. The unit’s 
330 MB per min transfer rate provides 
fast backup and restore. 

Backed by a three-year limited warranty, 
the CD 40 is a complete data protection 
solution that includes Yosemite 
Technologies TapeWare XE 
Server/Workstation backup software 
for Windows, Netware and Linux.
