Summary:
NetLink i640 Wireless Telephones may not be compatible with NetLink 8000 series Wireless Telephones
when using Push-To-Talk (PTT).
Description:
The NetLink i640 phones have a total of 8 PTT channels that they can use.  The NetLink 8000 series
phones have a total of 25 channels that they can use.  The first 8 channels are shared between both
styles of phones.
It is possible that even though they share the first 8 channels, they may not be able to communicate
between one another.  For example, an 8000 series phone listening on channel 1 many not hear an i640
phone transmitting on channel 1.  This is caused by a difference in the codec that the phones are using
during a PTT session.  The NetLink i640 phones use ADPCM, while the NetLink 8000 series phones use
g711.
Resolution:
To be able to have both models compatible with one another, the NetLink i640 Wireless Telephones need
to be updated.  The SRP version to support this compatibility is 89.135.  The software can be downloaded
