Quintum and IPhone4Less offer a Comprehensive VoIP
Solution With a Service Management Platform.

Service providers are faced with service delivery issues that were incomprehensible just a few years ago.
Networks were clearly defined for voice or data. Today, however, VoIP is a disruptive technology that is
radically changing the telecommunications business and posing new challenges for both new and existing
service providers.

Quintum and IPhone4Less have partnered to offer a complete, cost effective solution for service providers
to deploy and operate a state of the art VoIP network.

The Technical Challenge

Service providers are no longer in a class by themselves. The voice services market is now being pursued by
not only the traditional telecom players, but also by next generation telcos, ISPs and cable companies; the
profit margins are eroding; and there is an expensive infrastructure to support. The high cost of TDM
networks, greater competition, and eroding profit margins are forcing service providers to change the way
they do business.

This new world of VoIP and convergence of voice and data networks offers the ability to operate networks
more efficiently and deliver revenue generating value added services.  Service providers face the challenge of
quickly and efficiently deploying VoIP and the support systems such as billing, order processing and service
creation.  Many service providers also need to efficiently integrate their VoIP networks together with existing
networks and operations.

As service providers deploy VoIP they are also concerned about QoS and delivering the same level of voice
quality that the customers are getting with their existing service.  With the fast pace of change in this
industry, service providers need the ability to deploy the network and put operations and services into place
quickly.

The Business Solution

Quintum’s
Tenor VoIP MultiPath Switch products address the voice QoS concern, as well as basic
interoperability and integration.

Ease of Integration and Configuration:
The Tenor’s MultiPath architecture allows it to be easily and
seamlessly integrated in with the existing carrier infrastructure. There is no need for network upgrades or
overhauls.  Simply place the Tenors into the existing network, utilize Tenor’s newest Configuration Manager
and Network Monitor software, and VoIP is ready to go.

Quintum’s Tenors can support small SOHO and smaller branch office locations needing as few as 2
simultaneous VoIP calls, up to 24 simultaneous analog VoIP calls in one unit, and enterprises needing
fractional T1, E1 connections up to nearly 1000!  All Tenors support H.323 and SIP, are IVR/RADIUS AAA
compliant, have intelligent call routing, universal dial plan capability and can have integrated gatekeepers for
simple network management.

Built-in QoS for VoIP Communication:

It is critical to ensure the best possible network performance by
assuring voice calls with be PSTN quality.  The Tenor VoIP MultiPath switches offer patented SelectNet™
Technology, which monitors calls for jitter, packet loss and latency and can transparently switch calls from
the IP to the voice network, mid-call, whenever conditions meet a targeted threshold of voice degradation.
This assures superior voice quality.
