Compact RAID

The Compact RAID is one of the smallest versatile storage
appliances on the market.  It weighs just a little over one
pound and is roughly the size of a 4" cube. Despite its
compact size, the Compact RAID is packed with the power,
features and capabilities equivalent to large RAID storage
devices that are 2 - 3 times more expensive.
The Compact RAID can accomodate up to five 2.5" SATA
hard drives or SSD.  The drives can be easily added or
removed from the unit like a cassette tape without the need
for special tools. RAID configurations are set via a simple
dip switch on the back of the unit. The Compact RAID
comes with a powerful built-in RAID engine and a high
speed eSATA connnection allowing it to deliver an
incredible throughput of up to 3Gbps.
The Compact RAID is fully OS independent. It can be connected to any
computer running Windows, Linux or Mac OS. The eSATA port can be converted to USB 3.0/2.0
connections with optional Addonics USB 3.0 - eSATA adapter. The power and the portable size of the Compact
RAID makes it the ideal high performance RAID storage solution for various applications, particularly in highly mobile, space
limited or power limited environments.
