2. In the Information Store Virus Scanning tab, check Enable Information Store Virus 
Scanning and click Apply. 

The status of the Virus Scanning Engines used to scan the Information Store is displayed in 
the table. 

You can also disable a particular anti-virus engine from Information Store Scanning. To do 
this, navigate to the Virus Scanning Engines page, select the anti-virus engine and disable 
Enable Information Store Virus Scanning (VSAPI). 

The method used by GFI MailSecurity to access emails and attachments in the Microsoft 
Exchange Information Store is VSAPI (Virus Scanning Application Programming Interface). 
GFI MailSecurity allows you to specify the method to use when scanning the Information 
Store.

► Virus Scanning Engines ► Information Store
