Self-diagnosis function
This display is equipped with a self-diagnosis
function. If there is a problem with your display
or computer(s), the screen will go blank and the
Power LED indicator will either light up green or
flash amber. If the Power LED indicator is lit in
amber, the computer is in power saving mode.
Try pressing any key on the keyboard or moving
the mouse.
If the picture disappears from the
screen and the Power LED indicator is
green
1
Turn off the Power button and disconnect
the video signal cables from the display.
2
Turn the display on by pressing the Power
button.
If all four color bars appear (white, red, green,
blue), the display is working properly. Reconnect
the video input cables and check to see if the
condition persists; if so you may have a computer
problem.
If the color bars do not appear, there is a
potential display failure. Inform your authorized
Sony dealer of the display’s condition.
If the picture disappears from the
screen and the Power LED indicator is
flashing amber
Press the Power button twice to turn the display
off and then on.
If the Power LED indicator lights up green, the
display is working properly.
If the Power LED indicator is still flashing, there is
a potential display failure. Count the number of
seconds between amber flashes of the Power
LED indicator and inform your authorized Sony
dealer of the display’s condition. Be sure to note
the model name and serial number of your
display. Also note the make and model of your
computer and graphics board.
If the Power LED indicator lights up in
amber
Try pressing any key on the keyboard or moving
the mouse.
The display’s Power Save mode is awakened and
the Power LED indicator lights up in green, and
the picture appears on the screen.
