and exceed the demands of a High Definition image at its full 1080 line resolution.
Advanced Iris Function

The Advanced Iris function is a special Sony function designed to improve contrast expression especially in
darker scenes. The Advanced Iris function is enabled by using either one of two modes - Auto and Manual. The Auto Mode has two
settings designed to work best with video content such as movies that vary between bright scenes and dark scenes. Auto 1 is for
programs that have a wide range of brightness from scene to scene. Auto 2 is for programs that have less variation between brightness
levels from scene to scene.
The Manual mode is used to help deliver optimum contrast levels under different room lighting conditions. The High mode offers
maximum screen brightness and works well when a room is brightly lit. The Medium mode is for average levels of light. And the Low
mode offers the maximum amount of contrast and works best under low light conditions. The key benefits are deep blacks and
improved brightness and overall contrast.
BRAVIA Engine™  EX Video Processor

The BRAVIA Engine EX full digital video processing system is based on Sony’s
renowned BRAVIA Engine video processing system. It has all of the same functions of BRAVIA Engine plus the added ability to
upconvert 480i standard defi nition signals via Digital Reality Creation Multi Function v1.0 technology for a picture with more detail
and defi nition.
HDMI™  and PC Inputs

Designed for maximum versatility, Sony's SXRD A Series line is equipped with a comprehensive range of
input interfaces. The HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface™ ) is the first industry-supported, uncompressed, all-digital audio/video
interface. HDMI technology supports enhanced or High Definition video, together with multi-channel digital audio to provide superb
image and sound reproduction. A D-Sub 15 input also allows connection to your PC , allowing you to use your high resolution
BRAVIA TV as a computer monitor.
Motionflow™  120Hz High Frame Rate Technology

Taking motion performance to the next level requires innovation and
expertise. Enter Sony's Motionflow™  High Frame Rate technology. Motionflow™  detects the incoming video signal and applies the
appropriate processing for optimum motion reproduction. Taking full advantage of film sourced 24fps encoded content available on
DVD and Blu-ray Disc, Motionflow™  eliminates the need for 3:2 pulldown and delivers smooth, judder free video, faithfully preserving
the integrity of the original film. When 60fps content is detected, Motionflow™  doubles the amount of frames and uses real-time
calculation to create a new level of natural motion reproduction. You'll experience movies and sports with a greater sense of realism
than ever before.
x.v.Color™  technology

BRAVIA HDTV's performance has now advanced to the point that the color range can be defined by
limitations in the original video source, rather than the TV. Thanks to the adoption of a newly approved international color standard
called xvYCC (an option in the HDMI v1.3 spec and which Sony participated in creating), the color space has been greatly expanded.
1.8 times as many natural colors as existing HDTV signals will now be faithfully reproduced. x.v.Color™  is the name Sony has chosen
to promote video products that include xvYCC capability. x.v.Color enabled products, such as select Sony Handycam® camcorders,
cannow offer more accurate color reproduction and natural colors.
