ES Receiver
It’s What’s Inside...
What you cannot see matters the most.
Inside of an audio receiver technology is working to preserve
the clarity of signal without degradation. This year Sony’s ES
Receivers have approached the next level of sonic perfection.
Traditionally in a receiver, the input signal has to go through
two separate stages, preamplification and volume. It is within
these two stages that signal degradation can occur. Specifically,
when the signal being input does not match the characteristics
of the preamp and volume control. It is for that very reason that
Sony has combined the volume and preamplification stages
into one step known as Optimum Preamplification (OP). As sig-
nal is input, the OP system adjusts volume according to the
level that is present within the signal. Input voltage no longer
has the ability to overdrive the preamplifier and volume control,
due to this combination. The final result is improved signal to
noise ratio and signal purity!
