Basic Functions
Using the LCD Monitor
The LCD monitor can be used in the following ways for shooting, replaying or
adjusting menu settings.
• Opened left to right 180 degrees. It locks
temporarily at 90 degrees.
• Tilted forward 180 degrees toward the lens or
backward 90 degrees.
• The LCD monitor will automatically turn off
when it clicks shut against the camera body.
For protection, always close the LCD monitor
after use.
• Be careful not to let the AV cable or interface cable touch the LCD monitor.
• If the LCD monitor is difficult to see because of the surrounding light conditions,
you can adjust the LCD Brightness setting in the Set up menu or switch from the
LCD monitor to the viewfinder to shoot (p. 103).
