Use Search By to search for MAC Addresses by MAC Address, VLAN ID, and port.
•     
Searched by MAC Address - Select MAC Address from pull-down menu, enter the 6 
byte hexadecimal MAC Address in two-digit groups separated by colons, for example 
01:23:45:67:89:AB. Then click on the “Go” button. If the address exists, that entry will 
be displayed as the first entry followed by the remaining (greater) mac addresses. An 
exact match is required.

Searched by VLAN ID - Select VLAN ID from pull-down menu, enter the VLAN ID, for 
example 100. Then click on the “Go” button. If the address exists, the entry will be 
displayed as the first entry followed by the remaining (greater) mac addresses.
•     Searched by Port
 - Select Port from pull-down menu, enter the port ID in 
Unit/Slot/Port, for example 2/1/1. Then click on the “Go” button. If the address exists, 
the entry will be displayed as the first entry followed by the remaining (greater) mac 
addresses.

Description
Total MAC Address
Displaying the number of total MAC addresses 
learned or configured.
MAC Address
A unicast MAC address for which the switch has 
forwarding and/or filtering information. The format is 
a 6 byte MAC Address that is separated by colons, 
for example 01:23:45:67:89:AB.
VLAN ID
The VLAN ID associated with the MAC Address.
Port
The port upon which this address was learned.
Status
The status of this entry. The meanings of the values 
are:
• 
Static: the value of the corresponding instance 
was added by the system or a user and cannot be 
relearned.
• 
Learned: the value of the corresponding instance 
was learned, and is being used.
• 
Management: the value of the corresponding 
instance is also the value of an existing instance of 
dot1dStaticAddress.
