Network Virtualization and Architecture
Network Virtualization is the process of combining hardware and software network resources 
and network functionality into a single, software-based administrative entity. 
Virtualizing ReadyNAS devices on a single virtual LAN simplifies the setup and configuration of 
backup and restore jobs. Use ReadyNAS Remote to automatically create on-demand, encrypted 
point-to-point connections between ReadyNAS units, without the need for manual network setup 
or configuration. 
Once your ReadyNAS is added to your replication network, you can use it as either a source or a 
target for replication tasks. Additionally, there is no need to set up a VPN or SSH tunnel for 
secure communications between devices.
