Install Range Hood
The  hood attaches to the wall by screws discussed in the
“Prepare Location” section.
1. Using two or more people, hang the range hood on the two
mounting brackets and adjust the mounting brackets from
inside the hood to make the hood level.
IMPORTANT: Make sure that the range hood is securely
tightened against the wall.
2. Install the mounting screws into the wall until the screw heads
are tight. The screws provided for mounting this hood must
be fastened into solid wood. Do not fasten into sheet rock
only.
IMPORTANT: All screws must be installed into wood. If there
is no wood to install into, additional wall framing supports
may be required.
3. Connect vent system to hood. Seal all joints with clamps.
4. If your installation uses the optional duct cover, fit the cover
flanges over the brackets. If installation uses the chimney
extension, fit the extension over the brackets. Install the
upper section first, then fit the lower section over the upper
section. Seal extension to hood with clamps.
Make Electrical Connection
1. Disconnect power.
2. Remove terminal box cover.
3. Remove the knockout in the terminal box and install a UL
listed or CSA approved
 ¹⁄₂" strain relief.
4. Run 3 wires, black, white, green or bare, through strain relief
into terminal box. Use caulking to seal openings.
5. Use UL listed wire connectors and connect black wires (B)
together.
6. Use UL listed wire connectors and connect white wires (D)
together.
7. If optional heat lamp kit is used, connect black wires from
heat lamp with black wires from home power with UL listed
wire connectors. Connect white wires from optional heat
lamp kit to home power with UL listed wire connectors.
8. Connect green (or bare) ground wire from home power supply
to the unused green ground screw (E) in the terminal box.
9. Tighten strain relief screws.
10. Install terminal box cover.
11. Check that all light bulbs are secure in their sockets.
12. Reconnect power.
