2. Select Save or Save As to download the Certificate Authority File to your local storage.
3. Access the MFP device on which the ConnectKey App will be used through CentreWare

Internet Services (CWIS).

4. From the MFP’s CentreWare home page, navigate using this path: Properties >

5. Click on Install external Root/Intermediate trusted certificates.
6. Browse to the location on your local storage where you stored the Certificate file.

Select Next.

7. For certificates not already named, enter a Friendly Name for the certificate. Select

OK, or depending on the certificate, progress through the steps by selecting Next.
The security certificates appear in the list of installed certificates.

8. Next, enable Verification of SSL Certificates. Using CentreWare Internet Services,

enable verification of SSL certificates by following this path: Properties > General
Setup > Extensible Service Setup

9. On the Extensible Service Setup page, under Browser Settings, uncheck Enable the

Extensible Services Browser, and select Apply.

10. Select OK to dismiss the dialog.
11. Under Browser Settings, check Enable the Extensible Services Browser. Select Apply.
12. Check Verify server certificates and select Apply.
13. Select OK to dismiss the dialog.

Enabling “Verify Server Certificates” is a global setting that will affect all Extensible
Interface Platform

®

(EIP) Applications installed on your device.

By not enabling verification of SSL certificates, the secure communications of private
or sensitive information is vulnerable. Therefore, it is highly recommended that
verification of SSL certificates be enabled on your MFP.
