The Default Text Settings dialogue is used to edit the default settings for text before
it is added to a form or environment. The View/Change Text Settings dialogue is
used to view and edit the current settings for the selected Text.
To use the options within each dialogue the same processes are required, with the
addition of the ‘Properties’ function for Dynamic Text elements.

Selecting the Text tool, then clicking on the Settings button will display the Default
Text Settings dialogue.
When adding
Dynamic Text to
an environment,
the Default Text
Settings dialogue
displays a
‘Properties’ option
for setting Fixed,
Float or Resize
properties.
