OADING A SAMPLE OF THE PRINTSTREAM DATA

To be able to create an environment that processes your print files correctly, you
will require an accurate sample of each print file. A sample of the printstream data
is loaded into an environment by selecting the Open Data option from the Data sub-
menu.
The PARIS Designer will list up to four of the last used data files below the Data
sub-menu,  the most recently opened data file appearing first in the list. A listed file
can be quickly opened by clicking on the file.
The ‘\PARIS\DTA’ directory is a default only. Data can be loaded from any
available directory, however it would be more efficient to store all sample data files
in the default directory. The .DTA extension is also a default only. The PARIS
Designer can accept any legitimate DOS extensions.
 
 
NOTE
A sample of the printstream can be captured from your data files or can be created
in the Edit Data File dialogue. Refer to Capturing a sample of the printstream data
on page 16 and Creating a model of the printstream
 data on page 27.
