Before you add the chart, you should ensure that the currently selected text block
is either:

the text block that contains the printstream data used to fill the fields used

To select the text block before adding the chart:

Click on the Chart tool,

Open the Environment menu and choose the Select Text Block option (or use
the shortcut keys Ctl+N). The Select Text Block dialogue will be displayed
listing the text blocks in the environment. The currently selected text block
will be highlighted.

Select the text block containing the extracted printstream data (or a later text
block), then choose OK. The selected text block will be displayed on your
page in BLACK. The remaining elements on the page will be displayed in
BLUE.
