When you load a printstream data file, the data flows from one page to the next in
a continuous stream. The ‘paging’ or ‘pagination’ for the file must be set to
determine the end of a page. It is always a good habit to check the paging of the
data file you have loaded and correct it if necessary.

For example, you may have loaded a file which is a series of invoices or
statements. To ensure that each statement begins on a new page (that the file
‘paginates’ correctly), you must set the page length for the file.

Paging can be achieved in a variety of ways, such as setting form feed or Printer
Carriage Control (PCC) bytes within the data, the number of lines on a page, or
page-end events. The method we shall use is to correct the paging by adjusting the
number of lines on the page.

Click on the Full Page View button in the Files Bar.

The full page will be

displayed on your workspace.

Use the Next Page tool to go to the next page in the file.

You will notice

that the data file is not paging correctly, with data that should appear at the
beginning of the second page appearing on the first page. This can be adjusted
by setting the page length.

Click on the First Page tool to return to the first page.
