The Paris Conversion Manager has been developed primarily for users of Xerox
Metacode printers.

The Paris Conversion Manager contains a suite of conversion programs that take
as their input various Metacode printer resource types (JDL, FRM, FNT, LGO,
IMG, PDE and CME) and converts them to an internal Paris format. Also included
is the ability to convert Laserjet fonts (.FLJ) and Elixir (.ELX) forms.

Once converted, these jobs can be printed on any Paris supported device. This
combined with the support offered by Paris for DJDE datastreams protects the
considerable investment that existing Xerox centralized customers have in their
print applications.

Before starting the Paris Conversion Manager, if you have the Paris Designer
open, close it down!

The Paris Designer should not be active when starting the Paris Conversion
Manager. Both the Designer and the Conversion Manager use common resources
(FRMs, FNTs etc.). The Conversion Manager requires exclusive access to ALL
Paris resources.
