How does the Spooler make Command line parameter
substitutions?
When the Spooler uses the ‘Command’ and ‘Filename’ strings of a Preprocess
definition, it scans the string looking for substitution markers. These are special
character sequences that the Spooler will replace with the appropriate value from
the current input file name. There are 4 special values:
